Here is a terrific example of a pickets and berries style Victorian collar necklace with graduated beads. According to information gleaned from the internet, this necklace style began in the late Victorian period and remained a fashion statement into the 1930s and continued into the mid 20th century. The "Pickets" are made of creamy balamuti mother of pearl with a light satin finish and glowy hue. The pickets are hand carved making them unique in shapes and sizes. Strung between them are two fairly little round beads. The clasp is a simple spring ring clasp. Perfect for the late spring and summer months.
Condition: In my opinion, it may need restrung - the thread looks a bit stretched out to me up by the clasp.
Approximate Measurements: 17" long from end to end.
