Vintage 1928 University of Minnesota Homecoming pinback button with original ribbon and brass fob. The red and gold pin reads “University of Minnesota Indian Homecoming 1928” and is attached to a yellow ribbon with a brass shield-shaped charm that reads “Scalp Chicago” with a Native American chief design. Back is marked Williamson Stamp Co., Minneapolis.
This rare early sports memorabilia piece has great display appeal and ties to historic Golden Gophers football rivalry traditions. Shows age-related wear, some discoloration to ribbon and surface, but overall intact with strong graphics.
