1950's Midcentury Modern Rid-Jid Mini Ironing Board for Garments and Sleeves

This is an amazing near mint condition adjustable wood and metal circa 1952 “Rid-Jid” small Double-Sided Ironing Board with special level for ironing sleeves (you put yours sleeves inside this small side and iron away). Original white cloth and thin yellow foam underlay are part of this hardwood “Rid-Jid” ironing system that was designed as a travel item or away from home item when storage space was too tight for a regular sized board (like a college dorm). Weighs 3 1/4 pounds. Dimensions are 22” long by 6 3/4” for the upper level. The “sleeves” level is 20 1/4” long by 4 3/4” at fattest part on the end and tapers to 2” at the sleeves’ end. Marked in small lettering on the underside of the “big board”: No. 63 SLEEVE BOARD EXTRA COVERED, PRODUCTS OF MERIT SINCE 1878, THE J.B. CLARK COMPANY SPRING PARK, MINN., USA PATENTED.” Condition is extraordinary. It wasn’t stored in an attic or basement, but rather in a temperature/humidity protected closet for artwork. Could use as home decor.
