We purchased this beautiful Siam rosewood and brass dessert cutlery set from an estate sale in Denver. Our area is a heavily military area, and we are fairly certain that this was purchased by a military member who was on leave in Thailand during the Vietnam War era. Many officers brought sets like this and jewelry home from Thailand. This set is from the 1950s-60s.
This set was sold by "Tony's Gems", "dealer in the finest gems and jewelry, silver-niello wares, bronze wares." in Bangkok. This set is in its original wooden, cloth-lined box.
