1978 Franklin Mint Fine Pewter, Camelot Bookends

In the year 1978, Franklin Mint introduces their Camelot Pewter Sculpture Bookends. Hand Finished. Made of fine Pewter, Bookends are in excellent condition with one flaw. The flaw is the on both of the bookends the sword has been snipped off. That's painful, but on the bright side both bookends look like they match. That is the only negative I see here. The details are exquisite. I'm betting not too many people are selling theirs. This is one of those, I hate to sell this, but I must move forward with progress. The sculptured bookends are roughly 6 lbs each. They measure 8" x 6.25" x 5.5" . Both still have the metal braces to fit securely under books. Chains from castle to drawbridge are sill secure and intact. I could go on for days about this piece of art. Tastefully done and brings forth visions of medieval times, warriors, Excalibur's, horsemen with their shields and armor. In the background of the door you can see the hundreds more awaiting to get out the gate.
