I fell in love with this gorgeous and most unusual 1980's Gallery brand wool blanket coat and scarf set last year. I have decided it's a bit too large on me, and so I've decided to send her out into the world, just in time for the holidays and winter chill.
This lovely wool coat is unlined, but warm. Both ends of the front placket have a generous 2.5" fringe from neck to hem, though only one fringed edge shows when coat is fully buttoned up. There are two lined deep pockets, and a top internal button to secure the inside corner. The tartan pattern consists of a very bold red base, interwoven with black and purplish-blue plaid. The matching scarf measures an amazing 80" long by 11" wide, with the same fringe at either end.
Great vintage condition!! No moth or other holes, just the slightest bit of pilling. Dry cleaning suggested.
