Rare 1986 Kentucky Fried Chicken Award Plaque with 8" bronze medallion of Kentucky Fried Chicken founder Colonel Harland Sanders. Awarded to a KFC franchise owner for 20 years of service. Top portion of plaque has a heavy, solid brass round medallion that's 8" in diameter showing a profile of Sanders, along with the years he lived. The lower part of the plaque has a 4.75" X 8" metal plate with the name of the award recipient and some other information. The images and information on both the upper medallion and the lower plate are in 3-D relief. The 12" X 18" wooden base for this plaque is very thick and heavy. Plaques such as this were custom made and awarded only to a select handful of people; they rarely made it into the hands of collectors or the general public. A great addition to any collection of vintage KFC collectibles. Thanks for looking!
