This is a set of 3. If you only want one or two, contact me. This lovely tea towel is unsold merchandise from our family's linen store that closed in the 1950s. Since then it has been stored in our smoke free home. It is 20 inches x 15 inches when unfolded.
This towel was made in the 1940s.
It is linen and professionally embroidered with lace work. I am not sure what country it was made in.
When Pearl Harbor was bombed all the Japanese made products were boxed and stored, so it could be pre-war Japan. We also had embroidered stock from China, Ukraine, France and Switzerland.
The raised lacework gives it a 3D appearance.
I have resisted the temptation to iron it, because I want it in original condition. It is a perfect addition to your collection.
