Antique 1900’s Large 17” Tara Tibetan Buddhism Buddha Bronze Statue Unpolished. A beautiful piece in Bronze dating back to the early 1900’s. This is a large and heavy metal statue measuring almost 17” tall by 6.5” wide and weighs 4.5 pounds. This is an unpolished piece it shows some patina which you can polish out, but I personally love the patina look, especially before piece over 100 years old. There seems to be a metal piece missing that was connected on the left arm where there are two notches that would’ve held the piece in. In Tibetan Buddhism, Tara is a female bodhisattva and "Saviouress" who embodies compassion, wisdom, and activity, appearing in various forms like Green Tara and White Tara. Devotion to Tara offers hope and guidance on the spiritual path, providing support, healing, and protection against suffering. Her presence also challenges gender preconceptions by demonstrating that women can achieve enlightenment and full spiritual liberation.
