Up for sale is a beautiful antique Nippon porcelain vase, dating from the late Meiji to early Taishō era (c.1891–1921). This stunning piece features:
• Hand painted scenic landscape with a cottage, trees, and pastel sunset background
• Double scroll handles decorated with raised moriage-style enamel detailing in red and gold accents
• Softly shaded reverse side with ombre wash in yellow, pink, and cream tones
• Brown rim and footed base with warm glaze finish
• Green wreath mark on base: “Hand Painted Nippon”, used for U.S. exports from 1891–1921
This vase measures approx. height 5.5” /width 3” and remains in excellent condition for its age, with no cracks or major chips noted. Only minor age-related wear is present, consistent with over 100 years of history.
