This beautiful piece appears to be an antique due to the unsigned bottom which predates the 1891 import regulation for marking country of origin. This is my best estimate via research but you must judge the piece yourself as I can give no guarantee.
The beautiful glaze has also oxidized into a deep dark orange color. Delicate transferware designs of Geishas in kimonos and Japanese Garden are hand-painted in a variety of colors.
Raised porcelain slip texture on bushes.
Size -7.25" tall with lid on.
