Antique Knight's Warming Pan - Victorian Brass & Enamel (c.1880-1910)

In the old days, warmth was something you carried, like hope, from room to room. This brass warming pan - its black knight forever charging across a coral sky, forget-me-nots blooming eternal around him - served that purpose with dignity. My wife's great-grandmother brought it across an ocean, tucked away with other treasures of the old world. The pan tells its story in worn brass and smooth wood, in the careful craft of its notched joint and trefoil mount. Twelve inches long, six inches across the face, it carries the weight of winter's past in its shallow bowl. The enamel work speaks of skilled hands, of artisans who understood that even practical things deserve grace. Here is an object that served, that warmed, that endured.
