Antique Maltese Cross Pin Early 1900s Unknown Origin/Abbreviation Religious

I have had this cross for a while and to this day, I can not figure out what the letters stand for nor where it's from. I know that it was made either in the late 1800s or early 1900s because you can find similar crosses online credited to those dates. Another key detail is that the needle for the pin sticks out past the pin itself - there was a law passed in 1907 that would have made that illegal. It's a Maltese cross but I have also seen the same one connected to a Catholic "first communion" pin. If anybody has some information, please message me. For now, I will consider fair offers aswell.
