Letter opener is from the Roycroft community which was started in East Aurora N.Y. By Albert Hubbard around 1895,Hubbard passed in 1915 which started a slow decline of the community. Opener is hand made from hammered copper and has remnants of the original brass wash(scarce),opener has a nice patina but also has a bit of grime build up on the bottom(which Im not going to attempt to clean thats up to to end buyer)opener is well marked under the handle with the Roycroft cross and orb, measures 7 7/8” in length.tough to find item with each being made slightly different.
