Antique Tin Fluid Oil Lamp Filler Funnel Top Pitcher Kerosene Flamboyant

A nice antique tin lamp filler with original hinged lid. In overall good lightly used condition. Some wear overall, some mild oxidation. Not sure of the age or maker. Measures about 8 1/2" tall overall, the base is 6” across. No smell inside, painted a deep Red Ochre barn color. There are no dents, holes or loose/broken seams. This type of can was used to fill old lamps with whale oil , Keroscene or?. It's just as we found it and hasn't been altered or cleaned. It still a bit dusty/dirty from having been hidden away in a Basement of an old house- I didn’t even wipe it with water. There's no sticky or smelly oil residue on it. Well preserved and ready for display, this is a very scarce piece of tinware.
