This beautiful vintage gold tone powder rouge compact was found at an estate sale. The compact is made of brass or gold tone metal. The top of the compact lid has an etched black enamel Art Nouveau flower design. The top flips open by pushing in the latch in the front and there is a mirror at the top. The mirror lifts up to reveal a compartment with rouge. There is lovely etching on the gold metal around the rouge compartment. On the other side is a compartment with a powder puff with a lid that lifts up to reveal some loose powder. The back of the compact appears to be made of black celluloid. The compact measures approximately 2.28" in diameter x .50" thick. Please note that there is some vintage wear which includes some surface scratches, some staining, and the compact may need to be polished. The mirror inside does have some staining. The compact opens and closes well and is still in great vintage condition. This wonderful compact would be a great addition to your collection!
