Basco All American Sportswear black leather jacket size XL. Jacket features a leather front and the back is alpaca and wool. Item is from the early to mid 1990s. Can’t be older than 1996.
In excellent vintage condition, there is one small imperfection in the leather that you can see in the pictures, it’s very small and potentially could be repaired by a leather professional.
A little bit of history about this brand, Basco was started as a private label for Barney’s New York that was eventually spun off into a label that was carried in major upscale department stores. The brand shut down in 1996. There was a brief reboot of the brand at Barney’s in 2012 but due to the tags I know it was the previous iteration. Also it’s my uncle’s so I know it’s from the 90s.
This is a very heavy duty jacket.
Outer shell: 100% leather, 90% wool and 10% polymaide.
Lining: 63% polyester, 26% wool, 11% alpaca
Dry clean only by a leather professional.
