1900's-1946 Vintage Glam REAL Mink Fur Stole from The Boston Store: from Joliet, Chicago 1900's-1946 - Brown MINK Fur Shawl, Blonde Real Vintage Stole, Wedding Bridal Cape Coat
From the Boston store which was located in Joliet, Illinois's finest department stores for many years. Chicago's Boston Store (not the same chain that began in Milwaukee in 1897) was founded just after the Great Chicago Fire in 1871. This building replaced the original 3-story building in 1906. The Fur fits comfortably around myself and the dress form, size 8.
Measurements taken loosely: On back from top of collar to bottom 17", from top of collar to bottom of swinging front 30" the width of the side swinging front each is 8 1/2" wide.
This lovely fur stole is in GOOD vintage condition. The fur is clean, soft, and undamaged, and the lining overall has minimal wear, it has some stains. I did not attempt to remove them. I will leave it to buyer to dry clean for a little touch up. This is an EXCELLENT GLAM piece!
