Capitol#45 Gingerbread Mantle Clock

This STUNNING piece of American History was made in 1907 by the William L Gilbert Clock Co in Winstead Connecticut and is in pretty amazing shape for its age. The wood where the top hinge in the door is has split a little but could be easily fixed with wood glue and a clamp. Alot of the clock faces then were paper as is this one so it does have some weathering but that just adds to its beauty to me! The carvings on this clock are ESQUISITE! And the door detailing is FLAWLESS! The pendulam has a beautiful picture of a woman on it that shows through a special area painted on the door! The 2nd pic APPEARS to have some white dots on the black background of the clock but its simply the light it was taken in in my basement. The key IS in this clock it winds and dings just fine at the hour and the half! The prices on these are all over the place from $200/$1500 so of course I will entertain offers as ALWAYS so the list price is really a jumping off point. Msg me and we'll work it out :)
