First edition, ninth printing hardcover copy of Children of Lucifer: The Origins of Modern Religious Satanist by Ruben Van Luijk (Oxford University Press, 2016). Incredibly detailed and well-researched study on the spiritual practices of the past that led to what is now Satanism. Jacket now protected in new (removable) archival sleeve but with some rubbing/scuffing to faces and slight shelf wear around the edges. Blemish to top right corner of back cover where a sticker was apparently removed (nearly impossible to photograph, notable in certain light angles). Boards are straight and clean but with corners bumped. Binding is firm and spine is straight. Top outer edge of text block faintly wavy, likely due to humidity exposure, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked though tanned. See photos for condition.
