Circa 1800's Antique Bone & Brass Folding Ruler

Georgous circa 1800's antique bone and brass minature folding ruler. This beautiful little piece of functional art was exquisitely and finely handmade. Likely originally a part of an architects or draftsmans tool kit. This piece was a labor intensive, finely made expensive tool in its day and is an exquisite example of the fine craftsmanship of a bygone era. It is quite amazing in its construction and has a lovely rich, mellow golden patina. All keeper pins are in place and all hand carved markings are clear and readable. No nicks, chips or dings. No overt cracks, if louped there are a few minute lines around the hand drilled/hand set pins and brass findings (possibly occurring during manufacture). Extends to 12". Fully function and in fine antique condition. PRICE IS FIRM.
