VINTAGE Weather Forecaster (WEATHER WIZARD) made of hard plastic celluloid & provides indications for weather forecasts. Its country of origin is the United States & its brand is NU-DELL, out of Chicago, IL.
This is a dutch style house that has a witch & children move in & out to indicate weather conditions. The back of the house has the original cardboard instructions and information. The Weather Wizard is supposed to respond to the amount of moisture in the air. The Old Witch will be out of the house from 8 to 24 hours in advance of rain & the Dutch boy & girl will come out & stay out when the weather is going to be clear or fair. All figures will remain in the doorways if the weather is to be changeable or variable.
TESTED - I tested the Weather Wizard and couldn't get it to work properly/consistently. The knob and/or string may need to be adjusted or it might just need a good cleaning. The thermometer works and is accurate. This is a fantastic nostalgic piece!
