Some minor scratches due to age. Print mounted as two sheets on a hanging scroll. Top half includes the name of the deity, "Daikokuten Daijin". This is a peaceful form of the Buddhist and Hindu deity Mahākāla, sitting in zazen posture on rice bales holding a moon disc. Note the phallic symbolism of the hat and rice bales. This god is popularly revered by the Shingon, Tendai, and Shugendo sects of Japanese Buddhism. See photos. Shipped with insurance.
