Antique 1908 edition of Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz by L. Frank Baum with illustrations by John R. Neill. This copy is incomplete, missing the title page and many text pages/illustrations, but it retains 4 full-page color plates and 7 full-page black-and-white illustrations by Neill.
Overall poor condition. This book is best suited for alternative uses rather than reading. Neill’s Oz artwork is highly collectible, and these plates are valued for framing, display, or creative projects. The worn cover has great rustic decor appeal for a vintage bookshelf display. Collectors of Oz memorabilia also value these copies as parts books for replacement illustrations and bindings. Binding is loose, cover shows fairly heavy wear, many pages (including illustrations) are torn, missing or detached, and there is evidence of crayon and pencil markings. Water stains are visible on some plates.
