This would make a fabulous gift for fans of mid century modern barware.
According to my research, this particular set is a tribute it to Dorothy Thorpe, who designed gorgeous barware in the 1950s & 60s.
Many companies manufactured her pieces. She was the designer, not the company who made them.
The set consists of a chrome caddy, 7 of the 8 glasses that originally came w/the set~plus 1 that is similar, a beautiful silvered glass ice bucket, & some metal tongs~likely not original to set.
The set is not just functional it’s quite beautiful w/its bright silver bands around the glasses, mirror-like finish chrome metal rack & a silvered glass ice bucket.
The glasses are ea 5.5” tall and hold 12 OZ. They surround the ice bucket, which measures about 4.75” tall w/a 5.75” diameter rim.
Everything fits nicely in its chrome caddy which measures approximately 9.5” tall at the handle & 11.75” across w/3 little ball feet.
This set is in very good to excellent vintage condition. BB 9-25
