Elgo American Skyline Plastic Construction Set 92 w Box + Instructions 1950-1960

Elgo Skyline American Skyline Plastic Construction Set No. 92 in original box with instruction booklet.

Box is 12 5/8" x 9" x 2" and has an original price tag on it from Sears, Roebuck & Co for $3.98.

This building set was made by Elgo Plastics, based in Chicago, Illinois, in the late 1950s to early 1960s. A variety of buildings (shown in the instruction booklet) could be crafted from the assortment of column segments, vertical panels, and checkerboard floor/roof panels. Their modular plastic design made them precursors to other building toys that followed, including Lego’s!

Box and set are in good used condition. The box shows typical wear, especially on corners and edges. I am unsure whether or not all 476 pieces are present. Instruction book included.
