Extraordinary Zoned Purple Fluorite on Matrix, Inner Mongolia 2018 Find

A truly fascinating specimen of Framed Phantom Fluorite on Matrix from a 2018 find in Inner Mongolia. I dont even know what to say about this Fluorite its growth habit is so strange. Some of the crystals are etched on the surface while others are hoppered, meaning that the outermost faces grew faster than the center creating a stacked or hoppered look. It looks as though different layers of growth had very different patterns or growth habits that were likely caused by huge fluctuations in the environment. The crystals have these framed windows that arent normally seen in Fluorite making this find extraordinary. The white matrix adds some much needed color contrast and balance really enhancing the overall aesthetics of the specimen. These are hard to find on the market.
