Offered here is the First American Edition of “The Last Galley: Impressions and Tales” by A. Conan Doyle, the renowned author of the many world-famous Sherlock Holmes Mysteries that have delighted readers for over a century. Published in Garden City, New York by Doubleday, Page & Company, in 1911. First American Edition.

This antique book is aged over 113 years old and has been well preserved! This copy is illustrated by N.C. Wyeth. It contains two distinct sections: The first section, or the “Impressions” contains a series of pictures of the past, each depicting a true significant moment in history that has been colored in some minor way with a more glamorous character or more interesting conversation in order to embellish the true historical event for the reader. The second section, or the “Tales” consist of a collection of eight stories, all of which are completely fictional and will explain themselves.
