Rare and antique Printed on laid paper, wide margins, from the serie “Vases and Candelabras (…)” etched by G.B. Piranesi, printed by his son Francesco Etching with good contrasts and sharp details. With a detailed description. With a dedication to “Signor Carlo Morris“.
Undoubtedly Piranesi was one of the most important engravers in 18th century even if he was well-known as an architect and an archaeologist: the greatest engraver in the period from Rembrandt a Goya. The generations after him have continued to imagine the Ancient Rome as the artist has portrayed his magnificent in "Vedute".

It’s an authentic etching does not have any dots in the image , (I already used magnifying glass). Bought it in estate sale ( see others etching).
