My guy is slender and these fit him good around 5 1/2 to 6 years of age. He is going on 7 and has outgrown them both in length and hip. He is now an 8 in HA pants and those fit him a bit long but around the waist they're just right. HA website has the measurements for these pants.
The knees aren't as white as they're showing up in the picture. These are excellent pants and hold up very well.

I bought these brand new from HA website. $45 jeans $30 for chinos, so worth the price if you're curious. The Gap and Levi's pants I used to buy him would wear so fast in the knee, some just after one use already had a hole. These hold up.
