This listing is for a vintage collectible Herend 1605 Individual Teapot with yellow rose on lid and leaf handle. The Rothschild Herend pattern is the most sought after. It is hand painted in Hungary and has the blue Herend signature on the bottom. Measures approximately 4” to the top of the rose and 6.5” handle to spout and holds 12 oz. There is 24kt gold around the top of the teapot and the lid.
Herend Rothschild Bird pattern was created for Europe’s Rothschild family in 1860 based on a story of the baroness’ pearl necklace that became a plaything for birds in the garden.
It is in pristine preowned condition never used only displayed.
