Homer looking at the stars from the “mother simpson” episode. Simpsons fans all know the significance of this episode in the show when Homer reunites with his mother that had abandoned him. But also, it has now become something to remember those who have passed away. I wanted the piece to be something that captured the emotion of that scene. I changed up the perspective a bit, and made a few changes. I hope you like it!
I will be donating all of proceeds from the sale to the lahey hospital oncology dept., who saved my mom’s life after she was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and stage 1 lymphoma. She is 8 years in remission and I will always be appreciative for what they did. hopefully the money will help go towards saving more lives!
The painting is acrylic on canvas 16”x20”,mounted in a Pixy floating frame. There is a shimmer effect in the night sky that you can’t see in the photo. That will have to be a surprise! :)
