This antique scale of cast iron and brass was made by Howe. It's a 1 lb. postal scale and has a 2 toe crow's foot, or fishtail, base. It has an embossed, "Howe Scale Co. /Rutland, Vt." and "5434". Inside the base is an embossed "5433" and in gold, "1150152". The brass pan is also marked "HOWE". The scale still has 85-90% of it's original painted gold trim and it's red and gold front decal. Length: 11¾ inches; height: 5¾ inches. In very good condition, except as noted.
