Appears to be First Edition Thus- c. 1882 by Putnam, year 1904 in Roman numerals on title page. Red cloth binding is tight, bright & square w/ a trace of rubbing & soil. NO bumps, chips, fray or sun discolor. All gold & white lettering & decoration bright & crisp. Endpapers & text are tight, bright, clean & UNmarked w/ just a hint of toning. NO hinge splits, names, notes, etc.; NOT ex library. Very handsome, well preserved copy.
