It appears to be made of chalkware or plaster.
Jan Allan was the name used by artist Elisabeth Anne Philbrick Hall on all of her sculptures. May be a one-of-a-kind piece. I could not find another like it.
It is about 8" tall.
Signed Jan Allan on the front right leg.
It is not perfect. The metal pieces can be seen on the back, right foot area. There is paint missing in some areas. There is some cracking on the tail. It has some chips or plaster missing in some areas. See pictures as they are part of the description.
