This is the Japanese Nakiri Knife, a 165mm model from the "Morimoto" line. It is a traditional hand-forged kitchen knife, featuring a distinctive "Kurouchi" (black-forged) finish. This finish is a result of the forging process, where the black scale from the hammering remains on the blade, giving it a rustic, authentic look.
Please note that this handmade knife may develop some surface rust over time. This is a natural occurrence for high-carbon steel blades and is not a defect. This light rust can be easily removed with proper care and maintenance.
