This vintage Mexican serape blanket showcases vibrant multicolor stripes and a striking diamond pattern. Ideal for adding a touch of traditional style to your home decor. It is a mix of wool and cotton. The darker green stripe is wool all other colors are cotton with a cotton fringe. The cotton fringe has tangled and needs attention to straighten and in some places needs repaired. There are a couple of light brown stains as well as some black stains on the blanket, I have not tried to remove them. There is also one small area right near the edge that has a problem with the warp threads. Please see all the photos for details about the condition of the blanket.
I do not have any provenance with the blanket. It came from an estate sale along with other very old/ vintage Mexican textile items.
Colors include:
rose, pale yellow, gold, pink, burgundy olive, avocado and light green, grayish blue, periwinkle and dark blue with an ecru base and fringe
