Midwinter Umbrella Cake Stand Mid Century Modern Blue 1960s Stylecraft England

This is a sweet vintage cake plate made by the Midwinter pottery in England and produced in the mid century modern era, with a production date of October 1960.
The dish has the distinctive ribbed umbrella shape used by Midwinter as part of their Stylecraft range, with the curved chrome metal handle shaped like an umbrella handle. It is decorated in a light blue turquoise or aqua colour, and has a finely detailed pattern of flowers and leaves in the centre in white. It is a perfect dish for serving cakes, or displaying sweets, bonbons or petit fours.
The plate is in great condition with no damage and hardly any wear - there is some faint age-related surface crazing on the base bottom of the plate, which does not detract.
