First edition, 1946 (unnumbered) printing hardcover copy of Morals and Dogma of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry by Albert Pike (Supreme Council of the Southern Jurisdiction, 1871). A scarce and relatively early printing of this iconic work of religious / spiritual / occult / philosophical text, the basis for the beliefs, rituals and activities of the Freemasons. Moderate rubbing/scuffing to covers and with shelf wear around the edges - including bumped corners and dent to top edge of rear board. Boards slightly bowed. Binding is partially split at first page, but binding remains fairly firm on the whole. Faint liquid damage to bottom fore edge of text block causing a bit of staining and slight waviness. Bottom fore corner of rear free endpaper torn due to being stuck to last page. Some scuffing to outer edge of text block. Otherwise, all pages are clean and unmarked though tanned. See photos for condition.
