The Symbol LS 8500 features solid-state, laser diode for high and low density bar code to be scanned at a distance of up to 13-inch, depending on code density. With the LS8500, bar codes placed on curved surfaces or pliable material can easily be scanned. The LS 8500 operates at 36 scans per second to provide the operator with a quick scanning sequence.
It was designed to withstand falls of three feet, plus tightly sealed to protect it from moisture and dust. Components and optics stay secure, even when the scanner is subject to abuse in harsh environments.
