First edition, first printing hardcover copy of Our Flight to Adventure by Tay & Lowell Thomas Jr. (Doubleday & Company, 1956). Rare and vintage travel memoir by the explorer couple, documenting their flights and adventures around the world. With photographs in color and black & white. Price clipped jacket is protected in archival sleeve but with some rubbing to faces and shelf wear around the edges - including some chipping, creases and small tears. Boards mildly soiled from handling and with corners bumped. Binding is a bit loose with a few instances of partially and mildly split binding. However, spine is fairly straight and hinges are secure. Previous owner’s inscription covered in white-out on reverse side of front free endpaper. Some faint soiling to outer edge of text block, and staining/tears to rear endpaper - apparently from pastedown glue somehow getting onto the pages. Otherwise, all pages are clean and unmarked though tanned. See photos for condition.
