Stunning Italian ceramic figurine of momma and baby giraffe created by the renowned Giovanni Ronzan (signature on bottom - see upclose pictures). Circa 1950's, this stark white and green tone sculpture is a very rare find! Marked 3762 on the bottom (see pictures). 10-1/2"H. Has two notable issues that are reflected in the selling price and photographed for review. Small chip on spine of large giraffe, and the ear appears to have been reapplied on the large giraffe as well. Have only located one other of these pieces, and it's up for $600 with 2 chips. Absolutely fantastic collectors piece and extremely beautiful for any animal lovers mantel, curio, or art space!
I will be adding a couple pounds in weight merely to ensure the wrapping is super thick for shipping.
