Rare Raindrop Amber, Burma 28.5 x 19.6x8.6 mm 2.55 g

So here is a variety of Amber you likely have never seen or heard of before. It is extremely rare and is called raindrop amber or watermark Amber from Burma. It has a unique schiller effect like Labradorite or Oregon Sunstone. This is caused by heavy raindrops falling on the specimen while it was forming so you have a layer in the amber with water marks on it that functions as a reflective layer within the specimen. Incredible and super rare. There are also inclusions of cretaceous plants present within this specimen. To me this specimen captures a moment in time from millions of years ago when dinosaurs walked the Earth. With the raindrops it adds another layer of interaction by the movement and play of color. Impossible to photograph and do it any justice.
