Rare Vintage 18.5” HUGE Signed Artist Wilford Dean Jug Head On Body Pottery Art. If interested in purchasing message me for shipping info under $10. This measures approx 18.5” tall and very shipping This measures approx 18.5” tall and very heavy thick pottery weighing 11.8 pounds. This is signed both on the base of the body and head. Wilford Dean resided in Cleveland, Georgia and is no longer an active potter as he and his wife opened a catfish pond. His pieces are rare and hard to come by as there will be no more Dean pottery made. This is a very detailed piece where the buttons on the overalls have four holes in them. Also the detail with the stitching around the pockets, straps and pants. The head has a spaghetti style hairstyle with very detailed teeth and eyes. Overall good vintage shape. I’m not sure if the front feet are supposed to look like that or if there was a break. Is also a small chip on the bottom, but it has no effect on the sculpture.
