Great Condition with very minimal signs of display. There are a few sections that could use some touch-up paint if you want a smooth look, but not sure if they were intentional when painted. Piece has always had them since purchase.
"The Broken Christ" a sculpture of Jesus Christ on the cross, but notably missing its arms and legs in its design. This design is intentional and meant to symbolize the brokenness of humanity and the suffering of Christ.
The statue serves as a reminder of Christ's presence in the Eucharist and in the poor. It calls for empathy, compassion, and action to repair the brokenness in the world.
The sculpture and style are very reminiscent to that of Giuseppe Armani Figurine "Crucifix Plaque". There are no markings on this beautiful piece of art, but it was made in Italy. Box and paperwork no longer available. Made and purchased in Italy a long time ago during Vatican excursion travel. I'm not sure
