Rawhide Leather Boots 6.25” Scout Charcoal by Urban Shepherd

These are Portugal-inspired classic work boots made to withstand an active lifestyle. I worked espresso machine repair around Chicago for several years and used these to protect my feet while working in wet environments with a lot of heavy machinery. The occasional 20 gallons of boiling water bursting out onto the floor was no match for these waxed leather boot walls. I have kept them polished with mink oil since their adoption. I just polished them before listing now as well.

I have loved these boots. They’re tough, practical, and damn stylish. The soles still have a couple of years of life left in them, if you use them 8 hours a day like I did, before they need to be replaced. Normally, in my experience, boots like this require sole replacement every 1-5 years. Urban Shepherd really crafts a tough boot and it appears these are made to last for about 4-5 years in a job where you’re moving, shifting, crouching, and lifting 95% of the time.
