In 1970's, RISIS was born. A young Singaporean scientist discovered a way to encapsulate natural orchids in gold. The RISIS Orchid is made from a real live orchid that has been strengthened by plating with base metals and finished in gold by a special process.
The result is a flower transformed into an everlasting piece retaining the distinctive orchid form and contours.
