Set of 2 Vintage Pre WWII Japanese Artisan Hand Carved Stained Hardwood Unique Mythical Mysterious Domesticated Animals Sculpted Figurines
Animals are carved of Solid hardwood, and and appear to be stained (whether the stain was applied during production, or by an owner of the statues some time after that- I don’t know). They’re said to have been made in Japan before World War II…like in the 1920s or 30s. One measures roughly 15” tall, and the other 11,” and both are in excellent aesthetic condition, and would make for a uniquely tasteful & charming accent to pretty much any home or office decorum. Very cool item and conversation starter. Sold as pictured.
