Signed (by introduction author, John Graham), first edition (print number not stated) hardcover copy of The Coal War by Upton Sinclair (Colorado Associated University Press at Boulder, 1976). The lost sequel to Sinclair’s novel, King Coal, which was rejected by his publisher in 1917 and later got released in this format several years after Upton’s death. It includes an introduction by John Graham, educator and champion of Sinclair’s work.
Jacket now protected in removable archival sleeve but with some rubbing/scuffing to covers and wear around the edges - including chipping, creasing and tears, the larger of which gave tape adhered to interior side. Small bit of liquid damage causing faint discoloration and some waviness, mostly to spine and back cover. Boards straight and clean but with corners bumped. A few instances of mildly split binding though spine is straight and binding remains strong on the whole. All pages clean and unmarked. See photos for condition.
