Signed first edition (print numbers not stated) hardcover set of The King Ranch by Tom Lea (Little, Brown & Company, 1957). Complete in two volumes. With illustrations throughout by the author. Volume one signed and inscribed on half title page. Tells the hundred year story of the iconic and massive ranch in Texas. Mild rubbing/scuffing to covers and slight shelf wear around the edges - including bumped corners. Binding is faintly split in a few gutters, though spines are straight and bindings remain fairly firm on the whole. Previous owner’s ex-libris sticker on both front endpapers, some faint waviness to pages likely from slight humidity exposure. Pages are otherwise clean and unmarked though tanned.
